Texas-based  ·  In-person retrieval

We go where
the records are.

We're not genealogists.
We're your boots on the ground.

Page One Heritage is a document retrieval and scanning service. We go to Texas archives and libraries in person, locate the specific records you've identified, scan them, and send them to you — along with a detailed log of everything we searched.

Countless valuable records have never been digitized and likely never will be. The only way to get them is to show up in person. If you can't make the trip, we go for you.

We are not researchers. We do not interpret records, build family trees, or solve genealogical puzzles. You tell us exactly what you need and where it is. We go get it.

Our principles

What we stand for

Honest documentation

We log everything — including what wasn't there. Negative evidence is real evidence.

Your cap, your call

You set the limit. We stop when you say stop and call before going over.

Confidential always

Your request details and documents are yours. We never share or publish client information.

Step by step

How it works

1

Submit

You submit a scoped request

Using our online intake form, you provide the specific library, collection, box, file, and subject name. You do the research — we do the retrieval. If you're unsure of the exact location, request a discovery consultation first.

2

Confirm + deposit

We confirm your scope and collect the deposit

Within 2 business days we review your request and confirm it's actionable. A $65 deposit (first hour + $10 report fee) is required to secure your booking. This is non-refundable once confirmed.

3

Schedule

Your request joins the next visit queue

We visit each library once per month and batch requests together. There will be a wait between submission and research — this is expected.

Early visit policy

If confirmed requests add up to 8 hours of work at a given library before the monthly visit, we go early.

4

Retrieval

We go to the archive and scan

On visit day we pull your records, scan everything relevant, and log every item searched. Active retrieval time only — travel and wait time are never billed. If we reach your cap, we stop and call you.

5

Delivery + balance

You pay the balance, then receive your scans

We send you a balance invoice for any hours beyond the first. Once paid, your scans and research log are delivered digitally. Time is billed in full-hour increments, always rounded up.
